In recent years there has been discussion in the St. Louis region about the fragmented structure of government – that the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County are not one county and that there are 88 municipalities that operate within Saint Louis County. Below are two initiatives that both aim to reform local governance in the St. Louis region. If the election were held today and this issue was on the ballot, how would you vote?

Would you vote yes on Unite STL?
Under the "Unite STL" proposal, the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County would form a consolidated government to oversee and provide major local services in the region, like policing and courts. If this were to happen, however, all municipalities in the region would remain and retain control over services that are closest to their residents, like parks and recreation and municipal government administration. The proposal would not affect people outside of St. Louis. If the election were held today and this issue was on the ballot in Missouri, how would you vote?
